eli at mcdonalds the other yesterday. he didn't even realize he had chocolate on his face. the best part is when margo said so sweetly "eli you have some chocolate on your face" as she brushed her cheek.

oh brother do we ever love this boy of ours. i am a super big baby and i kept getting emotional today thinking that my beebye is a big 3 year old. abe is 18 months right now and the same age eli was when we had abe. i cannot even beleive how my eli had to grow up so quickly once he wasn't "the baby" anymore.

eli is one of those kids that everyone has a special bond with. i mean look at him, he is freakin cute! you will not find a sweeter more loving boy. you will also not find a more stubborn,sensitive strong willed or relentless child. eli loves things his way, and he likes to makes sure we know what he likes and dislikes. eli plays well with almost everyone and is kind. we love you big boy Happy birthday!

right now eli loves-

dinosaurs, dragons, toy story,trains,parties,movies and popcorn, cars, eating all day, books, cuddling, pisses ( kisses), playing with his brothers, chocolate milk ( asks for it about 4-5 times a day, nursery, being with his family, fishes and sharks, oranges, strawberries, chicken and rice, waking up in the middle of the night to go potty ( he has only wet the bed 2 times since being potty trained) bringing toys to bed, random toys in random containers ( bins, suitcases, Tupperware, laundry basket) lining his toys up, ice cream, paces Popsicle's, scooby doo, reading, running, jumping and being really active in general!

dear eli-

where to start with you my special little boy? you are so fun. you love to give "pisses" ( kisses!) all day long. i love that you wake up before the other boys to go potty in the morning. then you sneak in my bed and snuggle me for a while. you have very stinky morning breath but i don't care. you are crazy as they come. you jump off things and get hurt all day long. it is so funny and exhausting at the same time. you have funny fat hands and feet that remind me of fred flintstone. sometimes i call you man hands. you have the prettiest eye lashes i have ever seen on a little boy. i can't get enough of your cute piggy nose. you have crazy eyebrows. you are obsessed with chocolate milk and cheese. how in the world are you 2 and 1/2 already? i just signed you up for preschool next year. you will be going to the same school ezra went to this year. good thing too since you ask me every day when you can go to preschool. whenever we say something about you being 2 you tell us that you are 8.

james was helping eli say a prayer and said "please bless the food will strengthen our bodies..." and eli says in a crazy voice-

" huh potties? and started laughing way hard...

ezra-

ezra was kind of staring off so i asked him what he was thinking about. i said " were you thinking of how cute mommy is?!" and he said "nope" so i said " were you thinking of how stinky your bum is?" and he said " no mom, but will my bum still be stinky when i die?" and i replied " yep, probably even more so."

what's a mom to do? this cute cute boy has been a stinker lately. we went to the children's museum the other day. eli threw at least three full fledged tantrums in the 3 hours we were there. one involved pulling my skirt down, and another involved hitting me in the head twice with a surprisingly hard plastic rhino and elephant. he is right in the midst of the " no i can do it" " no i won't" arms folded, scowling phase. it don't know if ezra was just alot easier or if i've already forgotten but man i'm worn down. good thing he's funny, charming, sweet and clever most the time.

things have been pretty crazy here. my sister was in town for 3 WEEKS and you had better believe that we were living it up...

these crazy nuts sure are cute when they get along. funny story, for those who are weak at heart or don't like "potty talk" then look away now!

so lately eli has been into acting like a puppy named " diego" well yesterday ezra and "diego" were playing and wrestling. all of a sudden ezra started screaming and yelling that eli had bite him on the... you guessed it ( or maybe you didn't ) what the??? who bites people on the "you know what"? diego thats who. little stinker, it was even bleeding! james and i were trying not to laugh as we tried to discipline eli and sympathize with ezra. and the worst part was that i could not for the life of me try to talk ezra out of putting a band aid on the wound. is this a normal occurrence for those of you with boys?

we found these sillies reading a book together the other day and we thought it so cute we snapped up a photo. to bad the sweetness lasted all of 2 minutes. i sure do love these crazies!

eli turns 2!

february 21st was eli's 2nd birthday. eli is just like his older brother and has become enamored with scooby scooby doo- so his birthday party was scooby doo themed. i don't think you can tell by the picture how cute the chair we got him is. they had these awesome 60 year old vintage chairs at downeast home. we got ezra a mini rocking chair for his 2nd birthday and the kids always fight over who can sit in it, so we got him a chair. eli got lots of fun presents...toys, a hand painted piggy bank with money in it for disneyland, cherry hill passes, shoes a more! i can't believe this boy is already 2. he is such a fun and (mostly) sweet boy and we love him. it seems like he has always been with our family.

my sister was telling me that her friend wrote a letter to her children every month to tell them what was going on in their lives and what they were doing that month. i thought it was such a great idea and so i decided to steal it. i am starting with eli because i loved these pictures so much.

eli... you are so sweet and fun. you are also a little twerp sometimes and i love it. you are so different from ezra, i had no idea what i was in for when we had you. you are funny, silly, sensitive, sweet, grumpy, helpful, loyal, loving, fun, handsome, sneaky, naughty, scrappy,darling i could literally go on and on... i love you so much. you are saying more words every day. you love all animals, it doesn't matter if they are stuffed or real. you love your brothers and family. you love routine and have the funniest little quirks. you point and grunt at something when you want it. you love all of your family and are especially fond of granny sue. you love to drink, you are constantly wanting your sippy just like your brother. you love your silky. i don't even know when you usually wake up. you are so quiet and love to just sit in your crib with your binky and silky and rub it between your fingers. you love to cuddle. you love bathes. you love reading books. you love binkies and steal them from abe all the time. you love trains, trucks, dirt and all things boy. you love to eat dirt and sand. you love to cause mischief. you like to hit and bite. you love your dad and get excited when i say he is home from work. you love nursery and being around big kids. you aren't scared of many things. you are adventurous. you have cute long hair that is soft and straight and blond. you have 5 teeth. you only had 2 teeth until you were 16 months old. you love to eat and eat and eat, you far out eat your older brother. you are full of surprises. you are charming. everyone that meets you loves you. you flirt with people and wave and say hi as you pass. you love your squeaky shoes. you like to talk more when ezra isn't around.you are a bit of a drama queen. you just learned how to get into your car seat by yourself. you like to sleep on your tummy. you love your giant tiger. you love to go to sleep. you look so cute when you sleep i check on you alot at night just to see your cute little face. i am so glad that you are mine. sometimes i look at your beautiful, mischievous face and i cry because i love you so much. you are so loved and we are so blessed that you are ours.
