for the bat chandeliers-
everyone needs to bring -

* a pack of glue dots ( megan suggested using your micheals, roberts, or ben franklin coupon)
* embroidery hoops- AND YOU NEED TO PAINT THEM BLACK BEFORE YOU COME!!! it looks like you need three of varying sizes from big to little ( you can get them at craft stores or di or your granny's!)
* a few dollars to cover the cost of the paper, tuelle and fishing line

i will get the tuelle and fishing line, megan has the punch already and may be able to get the paper... yeah i am so excited this is a cute project and i am so ready for halloween!

for the time i was thinking 8:00 so the kids will be in bed. does that work? everyone bring your favorite fall food to share and some copies of the recipe. we will be meeting in my grammy sue's basement so we better behave. any suggestions on anything else?

pay it forward!

Pay It Forward …..So, here’s how it works: the first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive, at some point during the year, some homemade goodies from me. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise! The catch is that you must participate as well. Before you leave your comment, write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going (or copy and paste like I did). Then come back, let me know you’re going to play and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your goodies! Please submit in an e-mail or on the comment, your address, if I don’t have it already.Remember that only the first 3 comments will receive a gift from me, so be quick!Have fun!

mothers day gifts

here are the mothers day sillouttes i made. i got the idea from the thompson family life blog. i did some things differently though. i used paper instead of fabric and i modge podged the whole thing. i love how they turned out. i plan on doing some for me. i think that i will try to do this every year so i can have a portrait of the kids as they grow.

ottobre design

look what i found tonight while playing around on the internet. i am in love with the idea of making all ( or even some) of my kids clothes and these make me want to start tonight. i guess that ottobre is a finnish magazine with about 40 clothing patterns in each issue. i love their narttji like clothing, and i read that the patterns are fairly simple.i can't stand it! i need to make some of these right now the only problem is each magazine is like $20... talk me into it, i will surely get my moneys worth right?right? check them out- they even have free patterns to print off. look here

oops-

oops- forgot the bird , baby tees and hooter hiders

My first order!

awhile back I did a harvest boutique with whitney and her sister abbey, marta and some other crafty ladies who i didn't yet know. my main item that i was selling was applique baby clothing. i sold most of my clothing but had alot of people asking me to do things in adult and bigger kids sizes. here is my first order for a lovely lady names andrea. i'm so thrilled she loved everything and has already begun another order. i just applied for an official buisness license so that i can get wholesale pricing on american apparel clothing. i will be offically opening up shop in january. stay posted for details!

sorry for the horrible pictures. the lighting was horrible that time of night and things just weren't working out...
