getting back into real life has me thrown for a loop, and why wouldn't it? we spent our days playing at the beach, eating, going to disneyland, swimming, eating and more eating. then reality hit us in the butt when we returned from our california trip at 1:00 in the morning on sunday due to what i like to refer to as

"the incident" which i will describe at a later time

{here's a quick rundown though- kid throwing up, car sickness, way to many stops, grumpy old lesbians,major car problems, pulling $900 extra dollars for stupid car problems out of nowhere, i HATE las vegas, late night driving, 3 boys crying, grumpy mom and tired dad..}

right now i will just talk about our beach excursion. we went to oceanside. the drive was awesome. they had all these roadside stands selling 25 avocados for$5! it was a little chilly and overcast at first but that didn't stop ezra and margo from jumping right in the ocean. james and kyle got to surf while jess and i watched the kids. in return jessica and i walked down the pier to ruby's diner, to get a vanilla coke and bananna split. if we hadn't just have eaten lunch we would have had a burger and fries too. the kids were troopers and played for 6 or 7 hours. we had plans to go back to the beach at the end of the week with our aunt and uncle and cousins and eat at ruby's but by the end we were to tired. next time i want to rent a beach house and just stay at the beach all day.

think of all the 16 year old boys you know. now let me brag about a very sweet and special 16 year old i know. last week as we were driving home from my parents i got a phone call. little brother mike says " jackie open your glove box and look for a white envelope." i did and this is what i found. handwritten instructions for $30 to go to all the kids for a disneyland treat! seriously $30 is alot for a kid to give someone, and i am such a big baby that i actually almost cried about it. really i was just so glad that we have such great families. my boys are so lucky to be loved by so many people. mike is so great he is always planning and scheming and doing special things for everyone. thanks again baby brother ( who just happens to tower over me at 6 foot 4! hopefully he's done growing) and see you later alligators , we are off to disneyland!

cache valley

so my parents went to logan last week for a little mini getaway. i really wanted to go but it didn't work out. i was really bummed... i had kind of rough time last week and needed a pick me up. i am just feeling bummed out lately, it all started with missing the cure concert. just kidding( kind of)- but i am already feeling done with the pregnancy. i am huge, no lie... i really am huge this time and i am feeling it. my hips hurt like no other and i am just sort of grumpy ( probably because i am so tired i want to die) it also doesn't help that my cutie little boys follow me around all day and fight over who gets to sit on my lap... oh i love them so much but wow, i can't even go to the bathroom without ezra picking the lock. yep, my little 3 year old knows how to pick a lock and he says " mom, i handy manny" with a big grin on his face as he opens the door with eli not far behind him.

my sweet mama said that she would come to our house this weekend and watch the boys so james an i got go out. we decided to go to logan for a overnight stay. it was so great and lifted my spirits!

we stayed at the providence inn bed and breakfast...it was really cute. they even had fresh baked cookies waiting for us.we had their cream cheese stuffed french toast with crushed raspberries for breakfast this morning... yummy!


we went to dinner at cafe sabor. oh how i love and miss cafe sabor. they have the best chips and salsa and their pollo durango is to die for.

then we saw the new indiana jones. i really liked it. i had heard some not so good things about it, but i choose to look at it like it was just that, and indiana jones movie. sure it was a little silly and over the top, but aren't they all?? then this morning we went shopping all around main street. i found some great things at a thrift store that i will take pictures of soon. we also went to this amazing antique store. it was at the old cabin fever restaurant that i worked at. they had the cutest things and were really well priced. we also visited usu but nothing much was going on there. thanks again mom. i came home missing my boys so much. i feel refreshed and ready to deal with this week at least...

California dreamin'

we had so much fun on our trip to cali last week. we stayed at my sister jessica's home in " beautiful wine country temecula". we just hung out at jessica and kyles the first few days, while the kids had a blast playing with each other. margo and ezra would run around screaming their heads off and laughing, eli thought it was fun to join in too. addie was just as quiet and sweet as can be, she really is such a good baby!

then we went to the san diego zoo. it was so pretty and green, the kids loved it. another night we hung out with krista and ryan and enjoyed some bbq and guitar hero. if those guys were excited about their little one coming i think we may have scared them off, well maybe not... at least 2 of the 4 kids behaved themselves.

then it was off to disneyland! it is fun every time we go but i think that this was one of the best trips. ezra was old enough to get excited about things and wouldn't ( and still hasn't ) stopped talking about our trip. ezra and margo were both tall enough for matterhorn and apparently they had a lot of fun on it ( not that i got to go... damn pregnancy) eli was really fun too because he would point at things and say " oh" , if he really like something he would point with both hands.

we also enjoyed seeing our cousins and aunt and uncle who also live in temecula. we went to in and out, trader joes and pinkberry many times. the kids even got to see their great great grandmother. anyways we had a really fun trip and are already excited to go back.
