Ezra is 3!

Ok so i am a bad blogger and bad mommy. ezra turned 3 last saturday ( the 12th) and i have just been to tired to post anything. i got my lazy butt into gear and decided to post tonight. we went bowling with our families and then had a pizza party at our house. ezra got alot of really neat things, including a trampoline from dad and mom. i really can't believe that i have a 3 year old. and you better believe he is the best darn kid a mom could hope for ( most of the time!)ezra loves any form of transportation, anything disney related, pirates, pizza, and laying on the floor playing with cars.

ezra and my brother share the same birthday so we had a combined party with mike. on a similar ( but different)note- they are now saying that my due date is august 29, which just so happens to be my other brother sal's birthday.

ezra's first day of school

ezra is not even three yet ( his birthday is saturday!) and i already have him in preschool. no- i am not one of those crazy get your kids into everything type of mom. you see ezra has a " learning disability" i hate that they label him but if it gets him into free preschool i guess i'll live with it. ezra has always been on his own timetable with everything. he honestly had no desire to walk and didn't even attempt it until he was about 15 months old. he is also a late talker. we were never really worried because- (A) he is a boy and( B) he is ezra and he does what he wants when he wants. our pediatrician told us not to worry until he was 2 1/2 and not saying at least 50 words. at 2 1/2 i would say he was saying maybe 30 words. anyhow- we singed him up for early intervention. these cute ladies would come to our house and play and work with him. in 3 months his vocabulary grew to about 200- 300 words ( that's what they are estimating at least)! i don't know if it was because of them, ezra or a combo of both. i actually think alot of it had to do with ezra hanging around his cute and very talkative cousin margo.

well- sadly at 3 this particular program ends. they did some more testing and meetings and determined that ezra was eligible for free preschool though! the neat part is that they make a program that is individualized to ezra's needs. for the rest of this year i go with him once a week . next year he goes all by himself 2 times a week for 2 1/2 hours... yikes, i will really miss him and i can't even comprehend my baby going off by himself, but it really will be good for him. we got him a new lightening mcqueen backpack and he loves it. everyday he wants to go to preschool and talks about it all day. so mamas- if your kids ( under 3) have any delays that you are worried about ( not just speech) look into headstart/early intervention... it is a great program.

late easter photos

ok- i know these are really late but i was having trouble getting my pictures uploaded. i think the problem is our computer. it is old, i mean really old... like, my parents have had 3 new computers since this one old. maybe it is time to find something new.

we had a easter egg hunt at my granny sues and the boys loved it! my granny has this really neat backyard with a basketball court, three story treehouse a stream and a playground. it is really pretty and the kids love playing there.

3 brothers

I'm sorry for the lack of post. we are out of batteries so i haven't been able to upload pictures. up until now ( actually yesterday, i'm just lazy) i haven't had much to say. i don't know why, but i thought this picture of three brothers was silly. look at the poor brother with the girl hair... and what about the baby boy with the dress on. some historical things are odd eh? well to get to the point we found out that we are having another boy! james and i are both really excited and very relieved. we thought for sure that it was a girl this time. not that we have anything against girls or anything( we are actually hoping that the baby of the family will be a girl)but we thought 3 boys would be so fun.

while i'm at it...

i should mention that eli is walking all over the place now. i keep trying to film it but every time that i do he follows me around because he wants to see the camera and cries when i don't give it up. here is one more funny story... the other day ezra was in going potty and james and i were lying in bed, this is what we heard. " oh doh, ( yes i am aware that my child imitates homer Simpson, give me a break james is his dad, what did you expect) anyways back to the tale at hand. " oh doh, go away poo poo. you see ezra was really good about going poop in the toilet at first, then he had a 5 day break from going poop, do you see the problem here? now he is a bit nervous to go in the toilet ( tips would be greatly appreciated here, who am i kidding i am desperate tell me what to do... please). the conversation continued..." yeah pee pee, yeah! " while clapping, and then one more " you go away poo poo" followed by more clapping for his pee. it was definitely one of the most interesting one sided conversations i have heard.

the cat food catastrophe

yesterday the kids and i were getting ready to leave the house. all of a sudden ezra started screaming " mommy help". i ran into the kitchen thinking something was terribly wrong, nope it was just that eli was sitting on the rug eating fist fulls of cat food and grinning his naughty little grin. i really wanted to take a picture of the whole scene but i knew that eli would just keep eating the cat food... in the meantime ezra was yelling " ugh yuck beebye ( eli) yuck, don't eat kitty food" with a totally disgusted face. the best part was that he started gagging, like full on heaving while he was screaming his protest to eli. it was total and utter chaos and to top it off when i fished out the cat food from eli's mouth he started crying and screaming and acting like i was taking away his most prized treat. up until that point we were all having a pretty rough day...oh boy , it was so funny and it totally lightened the mood and made me realize that sometimes we all need to just lighten up and enjoy each other, to further lighten the mood we went and got shakes and visited granny sue. it was the best day this week! i sure do love my naughty little boys.
